Full-service storage
Pickup at your door, storage in a facility, and a delivery when you want the items back.
Full-service storage means you do not rent a truck or visit a unit. A company collects what you are storing, keeps it, and brings it back. The labor is the product. The monthly rent is only one line on the bill.
What you are actually buying
- Pickup. A crew or a driver comes to you. Some brands include that trip, some quote it, and some waive it only for a small load.
- A facility. Boxes may sit in a climate-controlled warehouse. Furniture may need a container or a valet crew that handles large items.
- A return. The window ranges from next day to a couple of days, and the trip home is not always included in the storage rate.
Endless Storage is the per-box version: $2.99 per box per month in a climate-controlled facility, $100 of insurance per box, and a requested box back within 48 hours. Collection is quoted to your address before you pay. It is built for boxes, not sofas.
The company-by-company breakdown — Endless, Clutter, PODS, U-Box, and Iron Mountain — is on best full-service storage companies compared.
Full-service pickup is one kind of on-demand storage. Compare free pickup, return windows, and insurance in on-demand storage where collection is quoted.
